Counseling Services

Empowering & supporting pre-teens, teens and young adults one session at a time.

All teens and young adults can face problems from time to time-related to navigating relationships, making difficult decisions, stress, or managing emotions. This is especially the case for neuro-diverse clients. Whether dealing with anxiety, self-esteem or lack of motivation, counseling services are culturally responsive and designed to help clients take more control over their emotions and become happy, healthy, well-rounded people.

Counseling techniques utilized include Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Positive Psychology. I am also trained in Brainspotting, which is an exceptional therapy technique for clients dealing with acute trauma; and who are hoping to process and heal from traumatic experiences.

Services are available for ages 14-30 and are available mid-mornings, afternoons, and early evenings. The latest session starts at 5:30 pm PST. Counseling services are offered primarily virtually throughout California & Florida for the duration of 2022.

Counseling services include topics related to the following:

  • Anxiety

  • COVID-19 related stress

  • Depression (mild/moderate)

  • Confidence/Self-Esteem

  • Adult Life Transitions (new job/city/college)

  • Coping Skills

  • Managing Emotions

  • Dating/New Relationships

  • Autism acceptance & management

  • ADHD/ADD acceptance & management

  • ADHD coaching

  • Transitioning to middle/high/college

  • Test Anxiety /  School Anxiety

  • Promote problem-solving, anger management, and conflict resolution

  • Promote positive peer relationships and social problem solving

  • Make referrals to and help coordinate community services

  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)

  • Social Skills training

  • Executive Functioning support

I accept that all my clients are unique and have special strengths, skills, and needs. I want my client to walk away from services with me knowing how amazing they are and walk away with the tools they need to navigate their life.  I use a strengths-based approach to not only identify areas where support is needed but to build on strengths that already exist in you. We are in this together!

Happy Friends

Self-Esteem group for girls & for the culture.

Self-Esteem & Cultural Identify Girls group for ages 11-14.
SUMMERS ONLY

In my work as a counselor during the pandemic, I have noticed that overall confidence, self-esteem, and sense of cultural identity have been significantly impacted in all of us, but especially in young black girls. This is especially the case in young black girls who attend schools and/or live in neighborhoods where hardly anyone looks like them.

If you have a daughter or know someone who is struggling with any of the aforementioned issues, this group is for them! It is an 8-week group, launching in mid-July, that will focus on self-awareness, building self-esteem,  confidence, and of course, strengthening cultural identity. It's so important for girls of color to feel seen and heard as well as cultivate a positive self-identity that includes their race and culture. This small group will meet virtually via telehealth for 75mins a week with an option for a final meeting in person.

How to sign up?

E-mail me and let me know you are interested. We will set up a time to have a 15minute consultation to make sure this group is a good fit.

What is the cost?

There will be an initial payment of $60 to secure a spot which also covers 30min intake session. The cost per weekly meet-up will be $60 per person.

How long will the program last?

The program will run for 8 weeks.
